Artist's Comments
One of my two final self portraits; of all the ones I did, this one had to be the most fun. I got to go to the zoo and have a friend take multiple photos of me wrestling with and getting assaulted by this metal Hercules beetle sculpture outside the insectarium. Little kids kept running into the scene to play during the photo shoot and all the passersby stared at me as I screamed and fell before this giant, fake bug. Things like that have to make you love the life of an artist.
